The UltraLite Kiln is ideal for small-scale work where the maximum temperature doesn't need to exceed 845°C. If you want a larger, hotter, fully-programmable kiln, there are two resources to look at:

KITIKI KILNS
The Kitiki Mini-Kiln Cherry Heaven Cherry Heaven Cherry Heaven

The Kitiki Mini-Kiln is the most popular mini-kiln in the UK. It's ideal for low-budget small-scale work: Art Clay, PMC, Accent Gold, Metal Clay Veneer, Fimo Polymer Clay, china paints, decals, dichroic glass, glass fusing, enamels, and jewellery. It's a 1000°C, four-sided, square, front-opening kiln, with an easy-to-use, 4-key digital controller.

The Kitiki Mini-Kiln is popular with jewellery and silver clay artists, who generally prefer front-opening ceramic-fibre kilns which heat and cool quickly. However, it's also widely used for dichroic glass, enamelling, and glass fusing, so is a good first-kiln for your home, school, craft workshop, or jewellery studio.

The Kitiki Mini-Kiln is easy to move around, so excellent for demonstrations, presentations, and exhibitions. As a second studio kiln, you can work on small projects without interrupting the main kiln firing programme. Several allow students to fire their work when they're ready, rather than waiting for the whole group, making better use of their time.

The Kitiki MiniKiln is also called an Art Clay kiln, a precious metal clay kiln, a PMC kiln, a SilverClay kiln, an enamelling kiln, a glass-fusing kiln, a jewellery kiln, a craft kiln, a hobby kiln, or a small kiln, depending on its perceived use.

To learn more about the Kitiki Mini-Kiln, and other small inexpensive kilns that can use a regular mains socket and stand on a typical 600mm wide worktop, transfer to Electric Kilns, using the Electric Kilns link above the menu bar.

PARAGON KILNS
The Paragon SC-2 Cherry Heaven Cherry Heaven Cherry Heaven

The Paragon SC-2 is the most popular small kiln in the UK. It's ideal for Art Clay, PMC, Accent Gold, Metal Clay Veneer, Fimo Polymer Clay, low-fire ceramics, decorating china, dichroic glass, painting dolls, enamelling, glass-bead annealing, silver jewellery, and small-scale glass fusing, sagging, and slumping.

The Paragon SC-2 is a good first-kiln for your home, school, craft workshop, or jewellery studio: it's compact and easy to move, it uses a regular mains socket, it stays cool on the outside, it's fully programmable, it heats and cools quickly, and it's inexpensive to run.

The Paragon SC-2 is also called an SC2, SC2B, SC2W, SC2BW, SC2 Vista, an Art Clay kiln, a precious metal clay kiln, a PMC kiln, a SilverClay kiln, a bead kiln, an enamelling kiln, a glass-fusing kiln, a jewellery kiln, a craft kiln, a hobby kiln, or a small ceramics kiln, depending on its perceived use.

Other popular Paragon kilns are the BlueBird and EZ Beader for annealing beads; the Fusion, GL, and Pearl series for glass; the Caldera, FireBird, Janus, Ovation, TNF, Viking, and Vulcan series for glass and ceramics; the KM series for knife making; and the Home Artist, and SC and Xpress series multi-purpose kilns. They all have digital programmers.

To learn more about the Paragon SC2, and other Paragon kilns, digital programmers, shelf kits, kiln accessories, and safety equipment, transfer to Paragon Kilns, using the Paragon Kilns link above the menu bar.
